Openbellerium docs
Stock prediction markets on Ethereum.
What is Openbellerium?
Openbellerium is a prediction market for US stocks and crypto on Ethereum. Each market asks a yes/no question about a price — for example, “Will $NVDA be at or above $250 at Friday's close?” — and you bet on the answer in ETH. When the deadline passes, the market reads the Chainlink price and pays the winners.
Openbellerium is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any company whose stock it lists, by Chainlink, or by Stockereum.
Ethereum & Chainlink
Openbellerium runs on Ethereum mainnet. Markets can be about TSLA, NVDA, GOOGL, SpaceX (SPCX), SPY and QQQ, which use Chainlink's US equity price feeds on Ethereum, and about BTC, ETH, SOL, LINK and ZEC, which use Chainlink's crypto feeds. New stocks are added as Chainlink brings their feeds to Ethereum. Every subject's feed address is shown on its market page.
Explorer: etherscan.io. You need ETH on Ethereum to bet and to pay gas.
Betting with ETH
Every market is staked in native ETH (minimum $1 worth, valued with Chainlink's ETH / USD price). Your stake goes straight into the OpenbelleriumMarkets smart contract in the same transaction, with no approval step. Nobody, including the Openbellerium team, can move pooled ETH: the contract only pays it out to winners, or back to bettors if a market is cancelled. Winnings, refunds and fees are all paid in ETH.
Questions are about a stock's or coin's price, not about ETH, so your position also moves with ETH's price. USD values shown in the app use Chainlink prices and are for reference.
Market types
Green Day
Will it close higher than it opened? Betting closes at the opening bell; an unchanged price is refunded.
Ring It
Will the price touch a line at any moment before the deadline? Settles the moment it does.
Above
Will the price be at or above a level at the deadline?
Below
Will the price be at or below a level at the deadline?
Bracket
Where does it land? 2 to 6 price ranges, each with its own pool. The range holding the price at the deadline wins and splits the whole pot.
Green Day compares two Chainlink prices, both proven on-chain when it settles: the one in effect at the opening bell (9:30 am ET) and the one at the closing bell (4:00 pm ET). Higher at the close is YES; lower is NO. Betting closes at the opening bell, so every call is made before either price exists. If both prices are equal, usually because Chainlink published nothing new during the session, the market is void and every bet is refunded. Every trading dayOpenbellerium opens Green Day markets on the biggest stocks and coins, from midnight ET until the opening bell.
Ring It watches for a touch. The moment Chainlink reports a price at or past the line (above it for an upward line, below it for a downward one), anyone can prove that round on-chain and betting closes. For the next three hours anyone can prove an earlier touch instead, then it settles YES. The earliest touch always counts, and every bet placed after the touching price was published is refunded in full and never paid, so nobody can bet on a touch that has already happened. If nothing touches by the deadline, it settles NO six hours later (time for anyone to prove a touch). Only reported prices count: Chainlink publishes when the price moves enough, so a spike lasting seconds may never be reported. Ring It markets take no referrals.
Brackets run on their own BracketMarkets contract, staked in ETH. Each range is a separate pool: if your range wins you share the whole pot with everyone else on it, pro rata. A price exactly on a level counts in the range above. If nobody picked the winning range, or only one range has bets, everyone is refunded in full. Betting closes 30 minutes before the deadline, enforced by the contract.
Resolution
Markets settle on the Chainlink price that was in effect at the deadline — not whenever settlement happens to run. Stock feeds follow US market hours (24/5) and stop updating over the weekend, so deadlines can't fall between Friday 8pm and Sunday 8pm ET (the contract enforces this), and the app keeps them off US market holidays. Otherwise the deciding price would already be public while betting is still open. The contract closes betting before the answer is known: Above and Below markets 30 minutes before the deadline, Green Day at the opening bell, Brackets 30 minutes before the deadline. Ring It takes bets until a touch, and refunds any bet placed after the touching price was published. Settlement becomes available five minutes after the deadline; an hourly job settles markets automatically, and anyone can trigger it from the market page.
If no usable price is available 72 hours after the deadline, the market is cancelled and every bet can be claimed back in full. If only one side has bets, the market is also cancelled and refunded.
Stock splits. Chainlink stock feeds report the share price, so a split looks like a crash. Splits are announced weeks ahead: the owner records the date on-chain (at least two days in advance), and every market or bracket on that stock whose window includes it stops taking bets and is refunded in full instead of settling.
Payouts & fees
Openbellerium is parimutuel: all stakes go into a YES pool and a NO pool. At resolution, the creator fee (0–5%, set by the creator) and a 1% platform fee come off the total pool, and the rest is split among winners in proportion to their stake. Odds shift as money comes in, so the payout shown when you bet is an estimate. Winnings and refunds are claimed from the market page or your portfolio.
Referrers earn 0.5% of each bet they refer, paid from the platform fee once the market resolves.
Parlays
A parlay combines 2 to 5 open markets into one bet, each with the side it needs (for example NVDA above $230 YES and BTC above $84k YES). Bettors take YES (every leg hits) or NO (at least one leg misses), staked in ETH, in the parlay's own pool. Parlays run on a separate ParlayMarkets contract that reads each leg's result from OpenbelleriumMarkets and never touches its funds.
Betting closes when the first leg stops taking bets (a Green Day leg at its opening bell, others 30 minutes before their deadline), enforced by the contract, so nobody can bet once a leg's price is known. A parlay only takes bets once every leg has money on both sides. The parlay settles once every leg has settled: if any leg is refunded, or only one side of the parlay has bets, everyone is refunded in full; otherwise YES wins if every leg hit and NO wins if any missed. Winners split the pool minus the 1% platform fee and the creator's fee (0–5%). Legs always settle eventually (any market can be cancelled 72 hours after its deadline), so a parlay can't get stuck.
Proof-of-Call
A call is a free prediction, like “$NVDA at or above $230 by Friday's close”. Your wallet signs it (no gas, no money moves). Every few minutes Openbellerium adds the fingerprints of new calls to a Merkle tree and records its root on Ethereum in the CallAnchor contract, stamped with the block time. Each call's receipt page re-checks, in your own browser, that the text matches what was signed, that your wallet signed it, and that it is in a batch recorded on-chain at least 30 minutes before its deadline. Calls are scored on the same price feeds markets settle on.
Creating markets
Anyone can create a market: pick a stock or coin, a question type, a target and a deadline (1 hour to 180 days out; presets snap to the 4:00 pm ET close). Creators choose a fee of up to 5% (default 2%) and can claim it from their portfolio after resolution. Every trading day Openbellerium also opens fresh daily markets on the biggest stocks and coins.
$PAIDBELL
$PAIDBELL is Openbellerium's token: a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 with no owner and no mint function, launched on Stockereum in a permanent Uniswap v4 pool on Ethereum. Its address, price, supply and burns are on the token page. Next on the roadmap: staking $PAIDBELL in markets, holder-only comments, and platform fees buying it back and burning it.
Eligibility
Prediction markets on stock prices may count as regulated event contracts or binary options. Placing bets and creating markets is blocked from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and you must confirm your eligibility before each bet. Claims and refunds are always available. See the terms & risks.
FAQ
- What do I need?
- An Ethereum wallet with some ETH. Bets are in ETH, and gas is paid in ETH.
- Where does my ETH go when I bet?
- Into the OpenbelleriumMarkets contract on Ethereum. Only the contract rules can release it: winnings, refunds and fees are claimed directly from it.
- Can I bet more than once?
- Yes. Each bet is recorded separately and all of them are paid out together when you claim.
- Who decides the outcome?
- Nobody. The contract reads the Chainlink price that was live at the deadline and checks it itself. There is no admin override.
- Is the AI analysis advice?
- No. It's a generated opinion that can be wrong. Do your own research.
